This is a chemistry/physics project at the University of Texas at Austin. It is named the The EON Project because these calculations would take "Eons" to complete without Volunteer Computers such as yourself. Here is a quote from the old site's about section to explain what this project is doing: they are, "calculating the long time dynamics of systems".
